Quoting from Wikipedia, a common explanation to Boudoir is: "Typically shot in a photographer's studio or luxury hotel suites, it has become fashionable to create a set of sensual or sexually suggestive images of women (and occasionally men and couples) in "boudoir style". The most common manifestation of contemporary boudoir photography is to take variations of candid and posed photographs of the subject partly clothed or in lingerie. Nudity is more often implied than explicit."
Who is a Boudoir session for?
Boudoir sessions can be for just about anyone (18+ of course). Most commonly, it's being photographed for brides to give their future husbands a very sexy and fun gift on their wedding day or a woman to give to their significant other as a Valentines, Birthday or Anniversary gift. Many other women however, do a Boudoir session just because they want some beautiful and sexy photos of themselves to appreciate their current beauty. The bottom line to any Boudoir session is that they are exciting, fun, sexy and a way for many to step outside their "comfort zone" and feel a sense of female freedom and expression, plus one hell of an ego boost!
"I don't have a "model type" figure and concerned about some of my problem areas, how do you handle that?"
I've photographed literally hundreds of different women over the years and those "problem areas" are never an issue for me. I accent the best features of a woman with the use of posing angles and placement of clothing etc. Along with my retouching skills, problem areas aren't a concern for me and you'll walk away feeling amazing and very confidant after seeing your final images.
"I want my photo session with you to be private and don't want my photos shown in public or talked about, is that ok?"
No problem at all. All my boudoir sessions are photographed with your privacy in mind. I never show any photos from a shoot without the permission from my client. I also never release or even talk about who I'm photographing for the same reason. Boudoir photography is a very intimate subject matter and not everyone is as comfortable with "putting it out there".
"So what makes your Boudoir Photography so different from the others"?
Just look at samples below and you'll see why. Whether you're a "first-timer" in front of the camera or someone who's done this before, you'll walk away feeling like a super model even if you're not. Something you will automatically notice in my images is that I don't limit my boudoir photography to just a studio environment, house or hotel room. Be it a private location on the beach, the middle of a field or beautiful natural environment of a forest, I'll go to extremes and remote locations to "get that shot" and making your images stand out which will impress you and/or significant other. You're in complete control of your session.
"Now that I'm agreeing to do a Boudoir session with you, do you help with poses and ideas?"
Yes, absolutely! As I mentioned earlier, with the amount of women I've photographed and especially models I've worked with, I'm very helpful when it comes to posing ideas and helping girls look great. I get complimented a lot on how helpful I am with ideas and making them look amazing. One last thing, although I'll help with suggestions on looks and posing, you'll never feel to pose beyond what you're comfort level is. Boudoir photography with me is a fun, positive and very exciting experience and something you're always remember and probably tell your closest girlfriends.
Of course if you have any other specific questions about a boudoir shoot with me, I'd be happy to answer them.
